RAM (Random Access Memory) - Stores information for programs that are running, however is volatile so information is lost when the power is turned off. Can improve computer processing speed if the RAM storage is increased, but only speeds it up if the RAM was originally full.
CPU (Central Processing Unit) – Core component of the computer which does all of the processing
